The biggest goal of Fort Healthy Mind Initiative is to fulfill our Tailoring Project to help young mothers in Fort Portal, Uganda. The idea stems from wanting women to support each other and learn new skills in order to sustain themselves and give them hope for a better future.
We have started to put together a group of women whom we have had counseling sessions with every week to prepare and support them. The group gets larger every week because there is much need for this, and the women are really excited to learn these skills. The project will last 6 months. We will have to pay for an instructor, sewing machines and the rent a space.
